Ich Hab Noch Einen Koffer In Berlin
See I CAN do it !!!!! I CAN contain myself!!!!
No compulsory behavior here, no sirry bob, clean as a whistle.
Except for the fact that I was way to ecstatic to have two comments on my first postings and I viewed my own blog like a million times..........but I didn't publish another post I didn't go overboard.
With that in mind I have decided not to publish my blog to the main public. Kinda contradictory I know, happy with comments open to suggestions but not available to the main public, that's what makes me me that's what I'm like ....A true Gemini.
And that brings me to my new posting. As one should know geminis are notoriously known for their ability to join seemingly contradictory positions into one human... They are also known for their lust for travel.
On the one hand I don't fit that description ... I hardly ever travel, I'm probably the least traveled Gemini on the face of the earth (except infant Gemini), Clinton would call me travelchallenged. On the other hand I do fit the description cos I am a Gemini with a lack of lust for travel so I comply on the contradiction part of it.
Lost me there ? I lost myself years ago, so join the club, buy the book and don't forget to take the complementary giftbag hidden under your seat before you leave ... AFTER you scream like we rehearsed.
All this is needed to get to the point .....I TRAVELED. Yes I did. A rare thing indeed for me.
As a newyears resolution I decided that in 2006 I would not spend my "vakantiegeld" (look it up) on futile things like rent or blown up computers or redecorating. I decided this year I would travel.
I would travel to New York, remember baby steps ???? ......now think of New York. It might not be the ideal choice for someone with a huge lack of experience in traveling but geminis are well equipped to take the detour and make it a non issue. But low and behold, god works in mysterious ways, he decided to protect me and through his mysterious bureaucratic ways managed to sent me the bill for my healthinsurance the same month as my "vakantiegeld" was tranfered to my account.
So no New York for me. And somewhere I got the idea to go to Berlin.
I was there like 16 years ago on a school trip. I don't remember a thing about it mostly because I have a blackbelt in memory repression.
What I do remember is that it is big like New York,
that is has a lot of nice shops like New York and that it is fucked up like New York (and don't you try to deny it that Berlin wall wouldn't have been all that out of place between Manhattan and the rest of the city).
Onward to Berlin it was. I plundered my savingsaccount and I booked.
I will spare you the details of the trip (for now) but I fell in luv with the town, like a travel rookie would.
Two of the highpoints (weren't we supposed to spare details?) for me were LaFayette (just for dodi) my visit to the cafe am Engelbachen and the mainzelmänchen is saw just before I left (that's three).
Ever since I came back I want to return (hence the postings title) (and yes do google it) I chat with guys who live there, I skip through travelguides tearyeyed and I take walks along the Spree on google earth.
I desperatly needed a break, I needed a holiday and I need it again real soon. To comfort myself I ordered in what made it such a memorable occasion...... zoom to attached picture... insert cheesy violin music.... fade out ..... COMMERCIAL

I think the image could use some clarification. What are we looking at in this picture? I see Berlin but what are the little men (they are adorable I know but what are they???).
those little men are the mainzelmänchen. When i was little we watched a lot of german television. In fact we always watched sesamstrasse instead of sesamstraat or sesamestreet.
The mainzelmänchen are animated uhm gnomes for lack of a better word that were schown in between commercials on ZDF. To this day they survive unlike our loekie de leeuw.
I think it's time for some more stories!!!!!
